Too early for Spring.

The walnut tree, abandoned in a corner of the garden centre, sits in a comfortable pot, mulched against the breeze and surrounded by friendly bamboo. Tiny green buds poke from the branches, testing the safety of wind and warmth. I stroke it, hoping our optimism will be rewarded, but warning that it’s only the eighth of January and there’s a while to go.

Hope that little tree can stay inside for awhile!

  2. Hi Barb and thanks for coming by. The little tree is better off outside, but if the weather turns really frosty, it can come under the porch. We’ve see little frost here so far this winter, and maybe, just maybe, it’ll stay above freezing.
